The production is perfect for this type of thrash. It's not too polished or overproduced and is just raw enough for an old school thrash band. There's no rewriting of the textbooks on The Antique Witcheries, it's just good old school thrash with a groove.
VINDICATOR are still just a bit unknown compared with the aforementioned bands, but If you're a thrash fan, this is an album worth checking out.

The music here, like on every act, is a compilation of influences of the musicians. Nevertheless, the difference from the majority of bands is that Winterhorde are hard to be labeled as a specific sub-genre band. Underwatermoon is definitely not Nebula, it is not raw Black Metal, Melodic Black or something close. The best definition of Winterhorde music is Extreme Progressive Metal, yet, this definition by far is also inaccurate. That is the magnificence of it and the mystery of it all.

Musically, Not for the Squeamish is solid, if not essential and a pretty damn good time. Songs like the title track benefit from a knack for writing catchy choruses, a quality present throughout the disc. Really now, if you can’t appreciate the cleverness of a song title like “Re-Organ-Ized,” then you’re probably not much fun to be around. Take the tour, my friends. Guts are rearranged, folks find themselves knee deep in bones, and a scalpel-wielding physician of evil makes quick work of his victims. It’s all in a day’s work at the Horror Hive.

1999-2009: Ten years of existence of FORGOTTEN TOMB... nowdays undisputed maestros of depressive Black Doom Metal.. or as they prefer to call it now, Southern Discomfort Music....
To carve history into stone they have re-recorded their finest tracks, this time in "one take, one sound and one line-up"... and burned 'em all on a double-album... something unique for their fans: this is "Vol.5" !
By all means in fact this is NOT a "best of" compilation: all songs have been rerecorded live-in-studio with no overdubs nor special tricks, thus preserving the same raw, genuine and powerful feeling you would face during the band's live-shows, and we call it "LIVE IN STUDIO".
Not enough, most of the lyrics have been updated and some songs re-arranged (even into some medleys !).
To add some valuable bonus to this monumental piece of work, the band has recorded two unexpected covers of NIRVANA's "Papercuts" and BLACK FLAG's "Depression", as well as a "BLACK SABBATH" introduction.
Last but not least, a brand-new and unreleased song has been recorded too, titled "Spectres Over Venice"; the song is one of the finest FORGOTTEN TOMB tracks ever and will easily become a staple of the next FT live-shows.
The booklet of the album includes unreleased live-pictures, liner notes by Herr Morbid himself and all the revised lyrics.
"Vol.5" is a masterpiece that every follower of extreme music should own in his collection.
